SpaceX Starlink Satellite
SpaceX Starlink Satellite
Starlink is an ambitious satellite internet project operated by SpaceX with the goal of providing high-speed global internet access to underserved and remote areas of the Earth. This constellation of satellites is expanded iteratively, orbiting in low Earth orbit (LEO) and communicating with ground stations to deliver internet connectivity.
The technical capability of Starlink makes it possible to offer internet access to a vast portion of the world's population. However, actual service is provided based on licenses granted by individual countries, as it operates within specific national jurisdictions.
One notable feature of the Starlink satellites is their ability to autonomously avoid collisions with other objects in space, thanks to uplinked tracking data. Additionally, these satellites are equipped with krypton-fueled Hall thrusters, allowing them to de-orbit safely at the end of their operational life.
