Telescope
A telescope is a simple optical instrument designed to observe distant objects by collecting and magnifying light. It consists of a few essential components: an objective lens or mirror and an eyepiece. The objective lens or mirror gathers light from the target, while the eyepiece magnifies the image for observation.
Telescopes come in various types, including refracting telescopes, which use lenses, and reflecting telescopes, which use mirrors. Refractors are known for their crisp images, while reflectors are often more cost-effective for larger apertures.
Telescopes are used for a variety of purposes, including stargazing, astronomical research, and terrestrial observation. They allow us to explore celestial objects like the Moon, planets, stars, and galaxies, as well as view distant landscapes, wildlife, or ships at sea.
